Homework:
There will not be homework for grades K-2. Students in 3rd and 4th grade will get homework occasionally. However, when a student does not use the class time wisely, he/she will have to finish any classwork at home, and it will be presented as an additional homework the next class. Student will be responsible for writing a reminder to finish it at home.
Students homework will be uploaded to the class web site. You could print it or copy it from here. I will email the 3rd and 4th grade teachers to add it to the students agenda.
Note: Whenever students have homework, it will be posted below in red letters, or a file will be attached.
Tests and Quizzes:
Cut off for tests and quizzes are:
85-100= S
70-84= N
69 and lower= U
Third and fourth grade students that scored 69 and lower are required to present a test/quiz correction before the end of the current quarter, in order to better the "U" to an "N".
How to do the corrections:
All corrections must be done using the same test/quiz sheet. Do no erase any wrong answers. Rather, use a color pencil and write the correct answer next to the wrong one. Present your test corrected to Ms. Lauer ASAP, or before the quarter ends.
Tests!Tests! Tests!
3rd grade students will have a test about the vertebrate groups in Spanish (mamiferos, peces, pajaros, anfibios, and reptiles). Review the English and Spanish word for each of these groups. Also, review the characteristics of those groups. Check "learning with YouTube" . Test will be given from January 28-31st, on your regular Spanish class.
4th grade students will have a test about the possessive adjectives in Spanish (mi, tu, su, nuestro, nuestra) Review the sheet (Mi casa es tu casa. Page 46) from your folder. Also, review the classroom objects from the same sheet. Test will be given from January 28-31, on your regular Spanish class.
